NICKELODEON'S THE SPONGEBOB MUSICAL

The stakes are higher than ever in this dynamic 60-minute stage musical, as Spongebob and all of Bikini Bottom face the total annihilation of their undersea world. Spongebob, Patrick, and Sandy attempt to stop an erupting volcano from destroying Bikini Bottom. Chaos erupts. Lives hang in the balance. And just when all hope seems lost, a most unexpected hero rises up and takes center stage. The power of optimism really can save the world!

CAMP DATES: MONDAY, June 5th -Saturday, JUNE 17th

 

CAMP TIMES: 9AM - 3PM

 

FRIDAY, JUNE 16TH - PARENT PREVIEW SHOW @3PM

 

1 PERFORMANCE ON FRIDAY, JUNE 16TH AT 7PM

 

2 PERFORMANCES ON SATURDAY, JUNE 17TH - 3PM & 7PM

(COSTUME CHECK-OUT & LOAD OUT AFTER FINAL PERFORMANCE)

Camp Includes: rehearsals with theatre professionals, fully staged performances, costumes, cast t-shirt

and two tickets for the “Parent Preview”). 

 

Due to rising dietary restrictions, lunch will not be provided. Please bring a (labeled) bottle for water.

Water and snacks will be provided.

POLICIES

 

​Observation

Observers are not permitted in the theatre during a camp period or technical rehearsals.  

Parents are responsible for children in the lobby area, and we ask that you respect the community’s property.

Camp Attire

Please wear tennis shoes or dance shoes and clothes that you can move in. 

Please no skirts, crocs, or flip flops. 

Before Camp Procedure

Please try to arrive at the theatre 5 -10 minutes before camp begins. 

A late arrival can be distracting to the rehearsal process which will have already begun. 

While waiting please be courteous and quiet in the hall. 

All questions from parents must be asked before camp begins or after camp ends..

Video Taping/Photography

Personal video taping of our performances is not permitted due to contractual agreements with licensing companies.

 

Registration Fee

There is a registration fee of $25.00 per student. There is no deposit required to reserve your place in the camp.

The registration fee is nonrefundable. The purpose of the registration is to help secure your spot in the program. 

Tuition Fees, Refunds & Drop Policy

In a Full Production camp, each student is a vital member of each production, and therefore we want to encourage

all students to honor their commitment through the end of the camp and the final show. If a student drops out after registration

is done, there will be no refund.

 

Payment Options

The Summer camp  tuition is $300 per student (this price does not include the registration fee),

We accept Cash, Credit/Debit, Venmo, PayPal, Cash APP and Check.

Costumes

We will provide the majority of the costumes for each show, but we require students to provide their own dance shoes

(Character, jazz, etc.) and basic costume apparel including shirt, shoes, tights, leggings, etc.

CHARACTER DESCRITPTIONS

SpongeBob SquarePants: Optimistic, innocent, and boyish/tomboyish; energetic and sometimes hyperactive. This actor should have the ability to move well and be an extremely physical actor - unafraid of climbing and being on tall objects. Additionally: Must be naturally funny and have great comedic skills and precision. Strong pop tenor.

Squidward Q. Tentacles: Grumpy, cynical, dry, short-tempered, generally negative but lovable! This Actor must move well and TAP dancing skills is a plus.

Patrick Star: Well-intentioned but lacking common sense or skills; kind and somewhat clueless, an innocent; a big softie, who can also be prone to sudden child-like fits of rage or frustration

Sheldon Plankton: Their personality outweighs his size- slick, scheming, nefarious; has the ability to charm; determined, they will do anything to get ahead in life; very greedy, but their heart is still open enough to rekindle a romance with their wife. This character will need to dance and rap skills a plus.

Karen the Computer: Glamorous, a robotic housewife of Plankton. They have been there for Plankton's every scheme and plot and has become jaded - they have been there and done that. Strong comic actor/actress, as well as Singer and Mover. 

Pearl Krabs: Mr. Krabs' bratty teenage daughter. This is a character role with Gospel vocal overtones.

Sandy Cheeks : A brainy and athletic Texan squirrel who came to Bikini Bottom for a research project. They acts as SpongeBob's most trusted ally on their quest to stop the volcano from errupting, using their vast amount of scientific knowledge and brilliant inventions to aid the mission.

Eugene Crabs : The greedy owner of the Krusty Krab, and employer of SpongeBob and Squidward. While everyone is off panicking about Bikini Bottom's imminent doom, they decide to strike the iron while it's hot and puts on a huge "apocalypse sale" at his restaurant, exploiting the fear of his fellow fish to make themdself even richer.
